FitCalCalc provides estimates for informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or fitness advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Not Medical Advice
All results produced by our calculators β including TDEE, BMI, body fat percentage, one-rep-max, MET values, reverse TDEE, and water intake β are mathematical estimates based on standard published formulas. They are intended to help you understand general ranges and trends. They are not a substitute for the advice, diagnosis, or treatment of a licensed physician, registered dietitian, or certified fitness professional.
Consult a Professional
Before beginning any diet, exercise program, supplementation regimen, or weight-change plan, you should consult a qualified healthcare provider β especially if you:
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have a chronic condition (diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, eating disorder history, etc.)
- Take prescription medication that affects weight, appetite, or metabolism
- Are under 18 or over 65
- Have a history of injury or are recovering from surgery
Accuracy & Limitations
- TDEE estimates total daily energy expenditure. Actual burn varies with genetics, hormones,NEAT, and unmeasured activity. Treat it as a starting point to be adjusted against real-world results.
- BMI is a population-level screening tool. It does not distinguish muscle from fat and can misclassify athletic individuals.
- Body Fat % from circumference (Navy / Jackson-Pollock) methods is an approximation accurate to roughly Β±3β4% and depends on correct measurements.
- 1RM formulas (Epley, Brzycki) extrapolate from submaximal reps and become less reliable at very high rep counts.
- Water intake guidance is a general baseline; needs increase with heat, altitude, illness, and training load.
