kcal = MET × 3.5 × weight(kg) ÷ 200 × minutes

Worked example: a 70 kg person runs 30 minutes at 9.8 MET:
9.8 × 3.5 × 70 ÷ 200 × 30 = 9.8 × 245 ÷ 200 × 30 = 2401 ÷ 200 × 30 = 12.0 × 30 = 360 kcal.

A second example: the same person walks 45 minutes at 3.3 MET:
3.3 × 3.5 × 70 ÷ 200 × 45 = 3.3 × 245 ÷ 200 × 45 = 808.5 ÷ 200 × 45 = 4.04 × 45 = 182 kcal. The walk is longer but burns about half — intensity multiplies the total fast.
